The story today
We all know that due to my work as a reviewer and a victim of a fatal amount of G.A.S, a good variety of photography equipment passes through my camera dry-box, and today in the first of such, I decided to pen a simple ‘good-bye’ article to my Leica Q2 Seal, and at the same time share my 15 most loved shots from the Leica Q2 Seal.
The Leica Q2 is one of those cameras that I know I will miss from time to time.
Especially the delicious 28mm Summilux lens.
By the way, if you would instead like to read why you should own the Leica Q series, you can pop by my in-depth Leica Q3 review, Leica Q2 Project Monochrom or even this Leica Q writeup.
“Leica Q-holic anonymous”
We all know that I have been largely enamoured with the Leica Q series beginning from the Leica Q in 2016 to the Leica Q2 in 2019 and later, the Leica Q2 Seal edition. A fact I should probably be embarrassed about is I have owned at least 5 different variants of the Q and Q2 across the years.
On the G.A.S side, my only regret is probably that for all the reasons I can think of, Leica never made a for-mass-purchase silver edition of the Leica Q2 unlike the Leica Q, with the Leica Q2 Ghost limited edition coming the closest.
The ‘whys’
For reasons of brevity, I am not going to share why the Leica Q series had its fatal hold on me, but for why I decided it was time to let go, it is more of I guess as time went by and I find myself using the Leica M series and Nikon Zf more, it was probably a good time as usual to cut down on the amount of equipment and keep what I will really use.
Digressing, about the M11-P
I have gotten quite a bit of inquiries about my take on the M11-P, maybe one day I will ask for a loan set to experience it and share my thoughts, but for now, in a world where people still use the 14 years old Leica M9, my M10-R really does have a lot of life left in it.
I recall back then when due to G.A.S and a fanboy, I had every single Fujifilm X-camera and almost every lens in the catalogue. Came a point I was disgusted at the extravagance and sold everything except 1 body and 1 lens.
And so, to be clear, there is nothing wrong with the Leica Q2, rather it is more of me growing older, taking stock of what equipment I have and will use more instead of trying to be a hoarder that took hold this round.
My 15 most loved shots from the Q2 Seal
I had the Leica Q2 Seal for around a year, and with it cleared slightly more than a thousand shots, and here is sharing 15 of my loved shots from it, from capturing the moments of life that me pause, and decide it was a moment worth capturing.
And so, of course, as read, the journey of life is the cumulation of all the checkpoints we make, and let us see where I end up next after the Leica Q2 Seal.
Thank you for reading 🙂

Seems like you are more into collecting and selling Camera gear than you are photography!

Hmm, maybe both sides 🙂 versus what I was say 2 years ago, I’m glad to have moved away from collecting and using the equipment more too.

I’m quite similar—I’ve owned the Q2 separate times, but both times sold it to concentrate mainly on the M system. I do miss my Q2 sometimes, but at the end of the day I’m happier with a more focussed kit.
Just curious: What do you use the Nikon Zf for? How does it fit in?

Hi, with the Q2 now out, my product photos for reviews are done with the Ricoh GR IIIx instead, while the Zf comes in as my AF system , and I love that adapting my M lenses to it is a breeze so it is also kinda like a Leica SL alternative too
