Bye 2018 and Hi 2019…

Like many on this last day of 2018, we reminiscence about the beauty and ugly of this year, the ups and downs, the laugher and tears, the times when we were able to hold someone dear and the times when we lost someone dear to us.

2018 has been an eventful year, more of at work where I had felt like resigning more than once facing the unfairness of it all from seeing how some ‘favored‘ colleagues seemingly able to get away with everything while some ‘not as favored‘ colleagues labouring most of the work and getting little of the credit.

But as we grow older, I guess we learn to care less about the unworthy too.

But I am thankful I had a bunch of good people who supported me through the downs and were with up during the ups. Dear family, friends and at a few times, even a stranger who offered help in times of need, priceless and everyone worth cherishing and protecting.

The frivolous and petty people of 2018 has taught me to not do the right thing at all times, and in 2019, I will work hard to learn about timeliness, aka to be able to do the right thing at the right time.

After-all, doing the right thing at the wrong time, the wrong thing at the right time or worse, doing the wrong thing at the wrong time will never help.

I hope we as humans will be kinder to each other and here’s a cheers to a better 2019!
